The Climate Policy Institute participated in this year's DUE – 28th Youth Media Festival, where we not only exhibited, but also gave a presentation and participated in a round table discussion.

The DUE Media Network - formerly known as the National Association of Student and Youth Journalists of Hungary - is the second largest journalists' organization in Hungary. The Media Festival 2021 took place on 30 September 2021 at the Akvárium Club in Budapest, with presentations by several well-known personalities, a climate and crises test for students and other interactive activities. Our Institute was invited to the event, which we were delighted to accept, as educating young people is our passion.

Gergely Kitta, Head of Strategy and Communication of the Climate Policy Institute. “Is it really better to be safe than sorry? What does good climate communication look like?" was the title of his presentation on the main stage of the event.

Our researcher, Orsolya Kovács-Magosi welcomed the audience at the stand of the Climate Policy Institute, sometimes responding to requests from journalists. Our Environmental Misconceptions Quiz was a big hit with the audience.

Péter Szebenyi, the green influencer of our Institute, took part in a roundtable discussion with other vloggers on climate protection, where he discussed the impact of influencers on young people in relation to the environment. His panelists were Balázs Megyeri (Ökoman), Jason Momoa stunt double, environmentalist, and András Szécsényi, SZECSO.
