Péter Szebenyi Kond is an environmental engineer and a staff member of the Climate Policy Institute. He completed his studies in environmental engineering with a specialization in mechanical engineering at Óbuda University. He founded the nationally recognized Waste Hunter (Hulladékvadász) movement and, together with others, established the award-winning environmental organization called the Future Eco-Generation (JÖN) Foundation, where he served as founding president until the end of 2020. He is also associated with several initiatives, including the Cigarette Butt-Free Challenge, the “Don’t Burn, Compost” autumn campaign, the Composting Beauty Contest, and the Plastic-Free May challenge. Currently, he contributes to the work of the Climate Policy Institute as an environmental expert. His areas of expertise include waste management, public education, environmental awareness and education, green marketing, and digital content creation.
