Gergely Kitta completed his studies at Pázmány Péter Catholic University, earning a master’s degree in English and Communications with a specialization in institutional communication and public relations. He began his career as an economic journalist, working for newspapers and communication agencies. In the mid-2000s, he joined the Századvég Foundation, where he spent nearly ten years working as a communication expert, researcher, and later as the director of the Századvég Media. During this period, he had the opportunity to engage with both theoretical and practical aspects of communication. He published articles, developed communication strategies for politicians and organizations, and supported the strategic communication of large corporations through research and consultancy, including companies such as Tesco, British American Tobacco, and Magyar Telekom. Subsequently, he continued his career as the head of strategic communication at the Hungarian Development Bank Plc. (MFB) and later as a senior political advisor at the Prime Minister of Hungary's Office. In this latter role, he was responsible for coordinating corporate communication for entities such as Budapest Bank, Magyar Posta, savings cooperatives, the MFB Group, and state-owned utilities.

He joined MCC after serving as the director responsible for strategic and governmental relations at the National Toll Payment Services Plc., where he also oversaw communication-related activities. A lifelong scout and passionate environmentalist, he currently serves as the director responsible for MCC institutes, coordinating the professional activities of think tanks and research institutes.
