The Climate Policy Institute was invited to a conference on Green Conservatism held in Warsaw on 9-10 June. Our institute was represented by Director Máté Litkei.
The aim of the event was to discuss conservative energy, climate and environmental policy proposals that provide pragmatic solutions to the problems related to the current energy crisis, the Russian-Ukrainian war and climate change.
Participants at the event included Jacek Sasin, Deputy Prime Minister of Poland, Minister of State Assets, Anna Moskwa, Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland, Grzegorz Puda, Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy, Piotr Mazurek Government Plenipotentiary for Youth Policy, Piotr Pyzik, Undersecretary of State, Ministry of State Assets, Poland; Government Plenipotentiary for Transformation of Energy Companies and Coal Mining Industry Dr. Tomasz Nowacki, Director of the Nucelar Energy Department, Ministry of Climate, Poland, Sławomir Mazurek, Vice President National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, Olevs Nikers, President of the Baltic Security Foundation, Elmārs Kehris, Executive Director of the Latvian Economists Association several experts, company directors and representatives of the Promyka Institute, the Leadership Institute and that of New Direction.
