The Climate Policy Institute is holding a weekend training for MCC students interested in environmental issues. MCC students will be introduced to the key issues of climate change. We will explain the purpose of climate policy, who is involved, and who is responsible for climate change.

The sessions will also focus on practical conservation skills and everyday environmental solutions, while understanding the domestic and European policy context and discourse.

All sessions will be interactive, with ample time for questions from students, and practical and theoretical knowledge will be delivered in a playful way. To avoid being too abstract, real-life cases will be an important part of the presentations.

In the search for solutions to environmental problems, we will present complex, interacting systems, encourage a holistic approach, and encourage students to acquire a new perspective through which they can understand global and local processes.

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to comprehensively and critically interpret domestic and international environmental and climate policy developments. We do not want to train environmental professionals, we want to put environmental values into the minds of future leaders.

There will be nature walks, birdwatching, climactivity, lectures and community building! Our institute aims to nurture talented students who are willing to take action against climate change, and support the young generation in this fight.
