Is the science of climate change settled? Can we talk meaningfully of a 'consensus' on the issue? What topics can to be debated? How should we debate them? And what, in the end, should be done about climate change, if anything?

Prof. Steven E. Koonin, the author of Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What it Doesn't, and Why It Matters, will deliver a talk on these themes to mark the publication of the Hungarian translation of his book.

Steven Koonin, a University Professor at NYU, has served as the Department of Energy’s Under Secretary for Science, as Chief Scientist for BP, and as professor and Provost at Caltech. He is member of the National Academy of Sciences, a Governor of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, a senior fellow of Stanford’s Hoover Institution, and a Trustee of the Institute for Defense Analyses. Koonin holds a BS in physics from Caltech and a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from MIT.
